Marisa Debattista
Founder & CEO at Second Chance Animal Rescue
Helping those in need is a pivotal part of Marisa's life. It is this motivation that drives her to do meaningful work for vulnerable animals and their owners within the community. Having witnessed first-hand how many beautiful animals needed help and the lack of resources available, Marisa founded Second Chance Animal Rescue in 2008. Starting with a team of a handful of vet nurse friends and a small group of animals, they have since grown into a network of hundreds of foster carers, volunteers, with just as many cats and dogs in their care.
